Over 15 Years of Independent Plant Hire & Civil Contracting in Gauteng Elchom started in 2010 with a simple brief: give local contractors dependable yellow metal and site works without the runaround. Today we operate as Elchom Group (Pty) Ltd (Reg: 2020/691987/07), and that brief hasn’t changed. When a site manager needs a TLB, a lowbed, a compressor or a tipper truck, they want a straight price, a confirmed delivery time and a machine that arrives working.

Our Base at JBR Centre, Alberton-North
Our office and parts counter is at JBR Centre, Shop Nr M8, 127 Louis Trichardt Road, 5th Ave, Alberton-North, Johannesburg, 1449. That puts our fleet and our spares stock at the transport junction between Johannesburg, the East Rand and the N3 corridor. From here we dispatch to Johannesburg, Sandton, Randburg, Midrand, Boksburg, Alberton, Centurion and Pretoria. Contractors can also walk in, collect parts or talk through a job in person.

We also act as a vetted primary contractor and broker, bringing in trusted subcontractors when a site needs more machines than we hold. You get multimachine site requirements under one contract and one invoice, with Elchom accountable for the whole job.
