Elchom Group hires out its own fleet and brings in vetted partner machines when a job needs more than we have in the yard. We run our own yellow-metal fleet and back it with vetted partner machines. Rates are daily or multi-day: TLB R3,000 to R5,200/day, lowbed R5,000 flat and compressor R6,200/day. You get one invoice and one mobilization point for everything.

High-wear GET parts are on the shelf. Stripped OEM components are available for CAT, JCB, Bell and Case. Chemical rock-breaking compounds are R950/box. Mobile field mechanics are dispatched with the parts on board to take care of any technical issues.

The longer you hire, the lower the daily rate. A TLB costs R5,000 to R5,200/day for a short 2-day hire, R3,500/day on a 4-day contract and R3,000/day on a 5-day contract. Lowbed transport is a R5,000 flat rate. All rates exclude VAT, and TLB and compressor rates exclude lowbed delivery to site unless your formal quote says otherwise. We supply dismantled genuine OEM spares, new aftermarket GET and wear parts, and send a mobile mechanic when a machine needs repairing on site. We use a non-explosive expanding compound. It is placed in drilled holes in the rock and splits it as it expands, with no blast and no flyrock. That makes it suitable for tight trenches, confined spaces and work near live services. The compound costs R950 per box.
